Skyter is a free software service that helps small business select, deploy, manage and consume the best and most relevant cloud services for their business. Skyter works with leading 3rd party service providers, such as Google Apps, Dropbox, Skype and many others and integrates them into one comprehensive Cloud Portal.

What is the Cloud Portal?

Skyter’s Cloud Portal is an integrated suite of SaaS applications covering all of the organization IT and business applications needs - packaged into one intuitive management interface and employee portal. A typical Cloud Portal will include basic services such as email, calendar, contacts and backup as well as relevant business applications such as invoicing, CRM, collaboration, marketing and industry specific tools. All these services are carefully selected from leading third party offers by Skyter’s experts, and automatically integrated into one comprehensive suite of services.

Why do I need Skyter?

Today, the best IT and business applications are available as cloud services (Software-as-a-Service), whether basic IT applications such as email, backup and communication, business applications such as CRM, invoicing and project management or vertical applications for specific industries. However, the deployment and management of cloud services are quite challenging for the typical small business that cannot afford expensive integration projects.

Who is Skyter for?

Skyter is made for small businesses that are interested in working with the best IT and business applications available for their business, but wish to avoid large IT integration projects (for time and cost reasons). Skyter is also relevant for larger organizations, with relatively simple integration needs. Within the organization, Skyter is typically setup by the business owner, office admin or IT person, and used by all of the organization’s employees.

How does it work?

The Skyter cloud services wizard is accessed directly from the Skyter home page. It asks for basic information about your business, such as industry, size and location, and based on your inputs, provides a recommendation for the best and most relevant services for your business. It also identifies services you already use. Once a service package is defined and approved by you, Skyter will automatically setup the requested services and provision them to end users. Each user will get a link to a personalized home page, fully integrated with the provisioned services. The business owner or administrator will get a centralized management interface, through which they can easily add new users or services and access helpful reports on cost, usage and compliance.
